TikTok as a Platform for Patient Education and Health Information in Rare Genetic Diseases: Cross-Sectional Study.
Researchers studied 184 videos on TikTok about five rare genetic diseases to see how well the platform helps patients learn about their conditions and connect with others. They found that TikTok is being used by patients to share information and build community, but the study looked at whether this information was accurate and helpful.
