Accessibility Commitment
Last updated March 2026.
UniteRare is committed to making our platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Rare disease patients and caregivers face enough barriers — our platform should not be one of them.
Our Standards
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. This includes sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigation support, screen reader compatibility, and clear content structure.
Current Status
UniteRare is an actively developed platform. Accessibility improvements are part of our ongoing development process. Some areas may not yet meet full WCAG compliance as we continue to build.
Known Issues
- Some data tables may not have full screen reader markup — in progress.
- Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible — we are adding text alternatives.
- Voice input features require browser support for Web Speech API.
