New Recruiting Trial: Multi-target TMS for Schizophrenia Negative Symptoms

WHY IT MATTERS

This trial offers a potential new treatment option for schizophrenia negative symptoms, which are often difficult to treat with current medications and significantly impact quality of life and functioning.

Researchers are testing a new brain stimulation treatment called multi-target TMS to help people with schizophrenia who experience negative symptoms — like difficulty feeling emotions, motivation, or social connection. This treatment uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain. The study is now accepting patients and will take place at Shanghai Mental Health Center starting in May 2026.
